			 Champion of Champions Ray
Quinn returns to the Liverpool Empire with the Panto Dream Team!
			THE legendary home of the
Beatles and cornerstone of UK tourist industry will open its doors
for FSB Beermat at the Cavern events.   The Cavern Club,
the Beatles' birthplace and the most famous music venue in the
world, is to open its doors to a business audience as part of the
International Festival for Business in Liverpool.  Each Monday
and Thursday during the IFB the club will host Beermat at the
Cavern, an evening networking event for small business owners and
international trade delegations flocking to Liverpool for the
festival, which has been widely recognised as the most significant
business event in the UK for a generation.  The club's journey
from its humble origins as a jazz club in the 1950s to one of the
most popular tourist destinations in the UK, with the Beatles legacy
an enduring appeal for people of all ages and musical tastes, is one
that can be an inspiration for other entrepreneurs.

Dave Jones, the Cavern Club's co-owner, said:- "Back in 1964,
on the many occasions I queued in Mathew Street hoping to get into
the Cavern, I never for one minute thought that 50 years later I
would be talking about the Clubs enduring popularity. Today the
Cavern is an authentic, real place which has harnessed the evocative
power of popular music. On the tourism landscape it provides a
cultural image of Liverpool to the world, one which has been
reinforced by its association with the Beatles. The Cavern has
played host to hundreds of legendary names but it was the Beatles
292 appearances between 1961 and 1963 and their subsequent
phenomenal worldwide success, which has given the Cavern such a
			magical status."

Since acquiring the Cavern Club in 1991 Cavern City Tours Ltd, which
is an FSB member, has firmly established the Cavern brand in the UK
and overseas, developing a successful and sustainable business
model.  The Cavern draws approximately 750,000 people a year.
In 2013 the company, which also operates the Magical Mystery Tour of
key Beatles locations around the city, turned over £5M currently
employ 90 people in the Beatles industry.

Elaine Moore, FSB Regional Chairman, said:- "We are privileged
to have the Cavern Club as an FSB member in Liverpool. It is one of
the UK's premier music venues and much more. As the birthplace of
the Beatles, the Merseybeat sound and British popular music it is an
intrinsic part of our culture which lives on today as a key tourist
destination - an industry that is so important to Liverpool and the
country as a whole. We want to celebrate the Cavern, the culture it
represents and showcase it to a global audience, bringing together
business people from the UK and all over the world in the process.
That is what the International Festival for Business is all about."

Beermat Networking at the Cavern takes place at 7.30pm every Monday
and Thursday evening of the IFB; from Monday, 9 June to Thursday, 24
July 2014. Visitors to the heart of the city's Cavern Quarter can
enjoy the music and a drink while relaxing and networking at an
informal gathering of entrepreneurs from across Liverpool and beyond
at a venue famous throughout the world. They will be able to receive
a 25% discount on Magical Mystery Tour trips and access to a VIP
area to watch Thursday night's Beatles Tribute Night, performed by
the club's Beatles tribute band. Attendees who email
			email
in advance of one of the sessions can book a short 'open mic'
slot to present their business and pass on 3 'top
tips' to other delegates. Find out more.  Beermat at
the Cavern is inspired by 'Beermat Mondays,' the networking
brainchild of FSB member, entrepreneur, author and Beatles obsessive
Mike Southon, who brought the pub-based concept from London to
			Liverpool in 2013.
Delegates wishing to make the most
out of their IFB experience and benefit from its Business Brokerage
service and Meet the Buyer events are being urged to sign up to the
			free IFB Business Club
