	announce that Tom Jones is to perform at this years 'Evening At The 
	Races' 
	ON 10 June 2016, an 'Evening 
	At The Races' live open air concert will see no other than Tom Jones 
	bringing his huge repertoire of hits from across genres and generations 
	including:- 'Kiss', 'Delilah', 'It's Not 
	Unusual' to the racecourse this for a not to be missed night on the 
	green.  
	 
	Tom Jones is the latest addition to Aintree Racecourse's new summer season 
	of live shows, with already announced:- 'Deacon Blue' set to open the 
	inaugural events on 13 May 2016. 
	 
	National legend Tom Jones' career has spanned over ½ a century, and has seen 
	him win many accolades including a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution 
	to Music and a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement. A global star, 
	who was knighted by Her Majesty the Queen in 2006, has amassed 36 top 40 UK 
	hits and has a continued worldwide reputation as 1 of the great vocalists, 
	earning the nickname 'The Voice'.   Tom Jones said:-
	"I'm very excited to be playing an open air concert at Aintree 
	Racecourse. I always have a fantastic time performing to audiences at Jockey 
	Club Live events as they are such a great night out for everyone." 
	 
	An Evening At The Races offers a value for money experience unlike any other 
	this summer. Alongside show stopping headline performances by some of the 
	worlds biggest artists, the action kicks off earlier in the day with a 6 
	race card; giving fans the chance to witness powerful equine athletes who 
	are stars in their own right, and enjoy the thrilling drama and spectacle of 
	them racing for glory. Whether you fancy a flutter or a dance with friends 
	and family, the event is certain to be an odds on favourite for all.

	Aintree Racecourse this summer. We'll have a superb day of racing followed 
	by an electric evening with one of most biggest music acts in the world. Tom 
	is such a popular artist with legions of followers it'll be great to see him 
	grace another Jockey Club NW racecourse again after a sell out performance 
	at our sister racecourse, Haydock Park in 2014. We're expecting a rush for 
	tickets for one of the 'must be there' music events of the summer, so all 
	racing and music fans are urged to reserve their tickets as soon as they 
	can." 
	 
	The Jockey Club Live are leading promoters on the UK live scene. From 
	delivering a spectacular line up of some of the hottest chart talent and 
	legendary household names in 2015, this year is set to continue the 
	incredible success. Acts already announced for 2016 include:- Bryan Adams 
	(Sandown Park), Little Mix (Newmarket), Will Young (Newmarket), The Corrs 
	(Newmarket, Haydock Park, Epsom Downs) and Tears for Fears (Newmarket) with 
	more announcements imminent. The events are renowned for combining a fun 
	filled evening at the races with a spectacular evening concert in the 
	informal and relaxed open air setting of some of the world's most famous 
	racecourses.

	 There's still time to 
	see The Alice Experience! 
	  
	IF you're looking for ways to entertain your family during 
	February ½ term then St George's Hall, in Liverpool has the perfect boredom 
	buster! Bring your little ones to the curious world of The Alice Experience! 
	 
	This exciting event was organised to celebrate the 150th anniversary of 
	Lewis Carroll's famous children's book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It 
	opened to the public on 5 February 2016, but don't worry, you do not have to 
	fall down a rabbit hole to see it.... There's still time to see it as it at 
	the amazing venue, St George's Hall, as it runs until Friday, 19 February 
	2016!  
	 
	The Alice Experience is an all new production by community theatre charity 
	In Another Place. The creators of the hugely successful event The Narnia 
	Experience, In Another Place has transformed St George's Hall into the 
	magical, colourful and slightly mad world of Wonderland. 
	 
	Walk through a forest of giant mushrooms, meet weird and wonderful 
	characters, join Alice on her adventures and experience Wonderland for 
	yourself. Follow the White Rabbit, have tea with the Mad Hatter, visit the 
	Caterpillar, meet the Cheshire cat, sing along with the playing cards, and 
	avoid losing your head with the venerable Queen of Hearts! 
	 
	The Alice Experience is a walk through theatrical production like no other. 
	Groups of up to 80 people are admitted every 30 minutes, they will follow an 
	immersive trail throughout the Great Hall and other parts of the building, 
	being greeted with interactive characters, stunning special effects and 
	magical illusions which tell the famous children's story. Which path will 
	you choose and what will you discover? 
	 
	Charity Director Annie Spiers said:- "We were asked by St George's 
	Hall to create an Alice production to celebrate 150 years of Lewis Carroll's 
	world famous book. So having produced The Narnia Experience in a similar 
	style before, we accepted the challenge! To make it all happen, a huge team 
	of around 780 volunteers has been recruited from across the region: actors, 
	stewards, construction team, set designers, costume designers and many more. 
	Plus the cast is huge! We have 18 Alices, 5 Mad Hatters, 6 Hares and 6 
	Queens of Hearts, not to mention numerous caterpillars and white rabbits! 
	It's a real team effort and we have volunteers from all backgrounds with 
	different abilities. But the important thing is that everyone can take part 
	and everyone is valued." 
	 
	The Alice Experience promises to be an event not to be missed, perfect for 
	all ages, schools, families and large groups. Thousands of families and 
	school groups have already tried The Alice Experience and came out grinning 
	like the Cheshire Cat so book now to avoid disappointment! Performances run 
	from 10am, every ½ hour, until 8pm and tickets cost from £5 to £12.
