X-Factor finalist, Skating on Ice winner, Ray Quinn, will be at Woodvale Rally

THE X-Factor finalist, Skating on Ice winner and Brookside star, Ray Quinn, has just announced that he will be appearing at this Woodvale Rally, that takes place over 17 June and 18 June 2017.

The multi talented singer, dancer and actor will be performing a 45 minute slot, on the Saturday, 17 June 2017, with tracks from his Swing album.

Peter Wood, Woodvale Rally general manager, said:- "We are absolutely thrilled to have been able to secure Ray Quinn for the rally. He is a great performer who will put on a thoroughly entertaining show. We are planning to have live entertainment throughout the weekend and the line-up we are presently finalising is sure to attract the crowds."

As X Factor runner up in 2006 Ray's only misfortune was to come up against Leona Lewis in the final.

Since then his debut album:- 'Doing it My Way' entered the UK album charts at number one going on to sell more than 300,000 copies.

Following his success with X Factor and his debut album his next step was the West End and, combining all his talents, appeared in some of the biggest hit shows including Grease, Dirty Dancing and Legally Blonde.

He then went on to star in the 2009 show of Dancing on Ice which he not only won, but was also crowned Champion of Champions 2014.

Born in Knowsley, his 1st major acting role was to portray a victimized yet tormented child in the Channel 4 soap Brookside.

Ray will be appearing on stage, at 3.30pm, at the rally, on the Saturday, alongside a wide range of other bands, including the popular Mike Byrne and the Sunrockers. Live performances are planned from 11 till 5 on both days.

Other attractions include model aircraft flying displays, classic vehicles and motorcycles, military vehicles, model boats and railways, dog display team, a Jema Leopold equestrian performance, the Crazy Bears, Morris dancing and car boot, trade stands and flea market.

Parking is available at Princes Park and admission is £6 for adults and £4 for children under 15 at the gate.
